The 2021 Aspen Leadership Forum on Retirement Savings: Making Retirement Savings Part of An Equitable Recovery
As both policy makers and corporate leaders work to build a more inclusive economy, America’s retirement savings system is emerging as a focal point of opportunity for more equitable, and more effective, saving. With the passage of the SECURE Act, the introduction of SECURE 2.0, and a proliferation of state-facilitated retirement savings plans, policymakers are building momentum to help people across America save for the short-term and the long-run. The private sector is innovating too, including open multiple employer plans, increased competition in the small plan market, and new emergency savings options by retirement record keepers. Collectively, these efforts create real momentum toward an inclusive savings system that could finally provide 50 million Americans – disproportionally workers with low wages, women, and workers of color – with access to the tools they need to build retirement savings for their future.

On April 15, 2021, the Aspen Leadership Forum on Retirement Savings is kicking off its fifth convening with a free, public dialogue on how retirement savings must be part of an equitable recovery from COVID-19. We invite policymakers, the private sector (record keepers, asset managers, plan sponsors, consultants, fintech), academia, nonprofits, and advocates to join us in a dialogue designed to accelerate the development of a truly inclusive savings system.

This event is free and open to the public.

Apr 15, 2021 10:30 AM in Eastern Time (US and Canada)
